Dear Spartan Middle School Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at McConnellsburg Middle School!  We will be starting school in a few weeks, on August 24, 2022, with some exciting changes!  There are some new faces in our Middle School this year.  Mrs. Leslie Kuhn is our new Middle School Counselor., Mrs. Christie Daniels is in Middle School Math and Mr. Howard Rosenberry is our Middle School Science teacher.  Please welcome them as you see them in our District.  Our outdoor classroom is starting to take shape!  We are excited to see lessons, class meetings, and labs take place out there.  We are starting a new program with the Fulton County Partnership called the After 3 program.  Students will be able to stay to get homework help and participate in planned activities.  

Student planners will be provided to students who want one.  Our handbook will be posted on the school website on August 10th after it is board approved. Please review the new bell schedule.  There are a few changes in the Middle School as to students' ability to have their phones during class time and our discipline code has changed regarding vaping.  Vaping infractions can now lead to fines and/or District Magistrate. 

 In closing, I look forward to seeing new and familiar faces on our Back to School night on Monday, August 22nd, from 6:00-7:30 pm.  Come in, set up your lockers, and meet the teachers.  We are committed to providing a quality education that promotes achievement, productivity, and growth for all of our students.  You can find many resources on our website at www.cfsd.info.  As questions and concerns arise with your child’s academics, please reach out to your child’s teacher at the beginning of any issue so that it may be resolved quickly.  If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out at 717-485-7080 or bbeatty@cfsd.info.
